Gibby Hatton’s New and Improved Ti Road

Gil “Gibby” Hatton is as incredible a coach as he is an accomplished track cyclist.

Gibby was the first American to be invited to the lucrative International Keirin Series in Japan. Gibby’s sage advise and strict training regimen has helped the Deluxe Track team take a few titles and medals home!

Coach wanted to continue the Martini motif we had going from the previous year but with a slight tinge. The frame is a Ti build from Gibby’s friend in California back in 2004. We retrofitted this badboy  up with Deluxe Carbon road wheels, SRAM Force 22, and Ritchey componentry. Shout out to Ben Falcon at Horse Cycles for the very clean paint job, as always!

Capsule Launch: Deluxe Cycles x Laser Barcelona

Work becomes play when collaborating with friends.

In our newest capsule launch, we linked up with the legendary Laser Barcelona to make some fresh wares for the Summer and Fall season.

The pieces presented respect simplicity and practical style, mixing the maritime cultures between the nautical NYC and boating Barcelona. Function meets fashion with this launch – using today’s bold innovations in tech clothing to offer our audience well balanced pieces.

Deluxe team rider, Dan Spellman, and his better half, Laurel Saint Romain, came through and helped us with this photoshoot. Wilis shot on his Hasselblad 500C/M and trusty point-and-shoot Yashica T4. Amir shot on his Contax T2 and Fujifilm X-T1. Good ol’ faithful Portra 400 was our film stock of choice.

Guillaume’s Field Cycles Disc Road

UPDATE ON BIKE BUILD:

We’ve completed Guillaume’s work order of swapping parts off of his City+County Disc Road bike onto his beautiful, brand-new Field Cycles Disc Road.

Field Cycles pushes the boundaries of a hand-built bicycle.

Field Cycles is a bicycle fabricator out of the beautiful, rocky, arboraceous Sheffield, England. Their focus is on creating well-crafted, well-designed, and well-engineered machines. The arduously achieved end product is a utilitarian, yet very aesthetically pleasing bicycle. These guys have serious meticulousness – every detail is under the microscope at any given step of the manufacturing process… From the inception of the idea ’til the product is in the customer’s hands.
Field’s material of choice is steel. Taking inspiration from the tradition and industrial heritage that lay the groundwork for their city, with culture and the spirituality surrounding their persuasions , Field Cycles is steadfast in believing their products aid in preserving Sheffield’s innovative steel working legacy.

Congratulations to our client, Guillaume, and his incredible new road bike.  Full photo set below:

Guillaume’s City+County Road One

Guillaume came in with his C+C Road earlier this week looking to swap the parts onto his newly acquired Field Cycles frame. Before we stripped it down, we had to have a photoset of his bike in all of it’s glory. Built up with SRAM Red eTap, ENVE Wheels x DT 240s and full ENVE cockpit. City+County is a shop out of sunny San Francisco, California that fabricates plush steel road bikes for every day using high grade lightweight Columbus tubing.

New Field build process and photo set coming soon! We’re super stoked on this project.
