We’ve completed Guillaume’s work order of swapping parts off of his City+County Disc Road bike onto his beautiful, brand-new Field Cycles Disc Road.
Field Cycles pushes the boundaries of a hand-built bicycle.
Field Cycles is a bicycle fabricator out of the beautiful, rocky, arboraceous Sheffield, England. Their focus is on creating well-crafted, well-designed, and well-engineered machines. The arduously achieved end product is a utilitarian, yet very aesthetically pleasing bicycle. These guys have serious meticulousness – every detail is under the microscope at any given step of the manufacturing process… From the inception of the idea ’til the product is in the customer’s hands.
Field’s material of choice is steel. Taking inspiration from the tradition and industrial heritage that lay the groundwork for their city, with culture and the spirituality surrounding their persuasions , Field Cycles is steadfast in believing their products aid in preserving Sheffield’s innovative steel working legacy.
Congratulations to our client, Guillaume, and his incredible new road bike. Full photo set below:
Guillaume came in with his C+C Road earlier this week looking to swap the parts onto his newly acquired Field Cycles frame. Before we stripped it down, we had to have a photoset of his bike in all of it’s glory. Built up with SRAM Red eTap, ENVE Wheels x DT 240s and full ENVE cockpit. City+County is a shop out of sunny San Francisco, California that fabricates plush steel road bikes for every day using high grade lightweight Columbus tubing.
New Field build process and photo set coming soon! We’re super stoked on this project.
Customer Laurence Wattrus recently graced the workshop with his beautiful Firefly Road bike to get a quick fixin’ before the Spring season. Laurence is the Co-Founder & Head of Product at Hammerhead. Hammerhead’s latest creation, the Karoo cycling computer, is one of the most advanced bike computers of this past year.
Built up with…
Enve x White Industry T11 Wheelset
Chris King Headset
Dura-Ace 9k Groupset
Firefly Ti Stem + Seatpost
Ritchey Superlogic Evocurve Handlebars
& Selle Italia SLR Superlow Saddle
Roz is best known for incredible design work. She’s worked with us on a lot of projects including kits, tee’s and logos. She also races CX and MTB and has some stunning bikes! She brought in her GT townie build to get some Deluxe Ti integrated bars, so naturally, we shot it!
This GT frame is special because it was built by Yamaguchi, who’s a legendary frame builder and is seen as one of the pillars of modern bicycle building. Roz built it up townie style with a front rack, the widest tires she could fit on this 90’s race machine (25c), and a 1x drivetrain! With an eclectic mix of Chris King hubs and headset, KCNC cranks, Deluxe Ti bar/stem, and a Thomson post, this machine is built like a tank.
Mark swung by the shop to pick up his new Team cap from FiFo and rode his sweet Cannondale Evo over. Built like a hybrid between high end race machine and ultimate towny/cruiser, we fell in love with the thing and snapped a few shots. Peep his new cap, available for purchase here or in the shop!
Built up with Velocity A23 running tubeless laced up to a front dynamo hub (of course hooked up to a light!), and a rear A23 laced to a White Industries hub. Complete with 10speed Ultegra Di2.
Shannon just got two new bikes! First his gravel grinding Drifter, which we featured on the blog last week, and now a No.22 Reactor set up with electronic shifting! This road bike is ready for some serious mileage, built to spec with Enve wheels and cockpit, Full Dura Ace Di2 9150.
As with all No.22s, this reactor was handmade in upstate NY by some of the finest ti craftsmen in the world. Give us a call, email, or swing by the shop if you want to check out other No.22 options!
